Hi, I’m Mary Howard, and I look forward to being your Burren walking guide. I live in Fanore, a coastal village on the north west corner of the Burren, with the Atlantic ocean for my ‘front garden’ and the stunning Black Head  mountain for my ‘back garden’ and  am very passionate about all aspects of the Burren landscape.

For 17 years, as former owners of the Carrigann Hotel in Lisdoonvarna, we successfully operated Burren Walking Holidays.  Moving on from the hotel business in 2006 gave me the time and opportunity to indulge  my passion for walking in the Burren and to set up Burren Guided Walks and Hikes.

I enjoy nothing more than sharing my passion and knowledge of the Burren with those who wish to walk and hike in this precious and sensitive environment.
